Pomelli
Build a brand profile from your website and get campaign images in the same style. Free, open in Sweden, but in English and from age 18.

Read this first. Pomelli requires anyone who logs in to be 18 or older, which is Google's rule for the service. If the person who will use the service is under 18, the account needs to be owned by someone in the company who is 18 or older and who sits with them. The service works in Sweden since Google opened it across the EU in April 2026, and it costs nothing: Google states that it can be used at no charge and is enough for several hundred image and video generations. The tool is only available in English, however, so all material needs to be translated before you publish it. Status when this was written, September 2026.
What you get out of this
Pomelli reads your website, picks out colors, fonts and tone of voice, and then produces campaign material that looks like it comes from the same company. You get social media posts, ad images and product images with a headline, body text and call to action, in formats that suit Instagram, Facebook and Tiktok. Everything can be edited and downloaded.
The benefit for a company is easy to grasp. What usually makes a small company look homemade is that the marketing is all over the place: one post in one color scheme, a poster in another, a font someone happened to pick on their phone. Pomelli solves exactly that problem, and does it in minutes instead of evenings. It does not, however, produce your idea for you. If the website is empty, the profile will be empty, and then you spend five times as long fixing the material afterwards.
What you need before you start
- A Google account that belongs to someone over 18. A company Workspace account is often blocked for Google Labs, which is Google's department for services under test, so a private account usually works more smoothly.
- The address labs.google.com/pomelli. The tool works in a regular browser, on both computer and mobile, but editing is more comfortable on a computer.
- A web address for your website. If you do not have a site yet, you can still start, see step 3 below. If you need a site first, there is Install WordPress and Get started with Stitch.
- Five to ten images of the product, taken in daylight. A mobile camera is good enough, the light is what matters.
- Two sentences about what you sell and to whom, written in advance. They become the basis for everything Pomelli writes.
Time and difficulty level
The website analysis takes up to eight minutes and runs on its own. Allow half an hour for the first round: the analysis, a read-through of the profile and a first campaign. If you want to go through and correct the profile properly, which pays off, it takes a good hour. The difficulty level is low and no prior knowledge is needed. What requires some thought is the language, since you will be translating English texts into Swedish that sounds like your company and not like a machine.
How to do it: build your brand profile
- Go to labs.google.com/pomelli and click Let's go on the welcome page. Sign in with your Google account.
- Enter the web address of your website and click Continue. Pomelli reads the page and builds what the tool calls Business DNA, a summary of the company's colors, fonts, tone of voice and image style. The analysis takes up to eight minutes, so do something else in the meantime.
- If you do not have a website: click No website yet? and then From scratch. Upload material instead, up to 20 files of 25 megabytes each. The business plan as a pdf, product images and a presentation go a long way. Then click Generate Business DNA.
- Read through the profile line by line when it is ready. The fields are in the panel on the left and you can type directly in them. Check three things in particular: that the target group is right, that the tone of voice is not stiff and that the colors are yours and not picked from an image in the footer.
- Correct what is wrong by writing instructions in the prompt box to the Pomelli agent, for example our audience is small business owners, not families. You can also edit the fields by hand. Take this step seriously, everything the tool produces later comes from this profile.
- Fill the catalog with your products. Click Catalog in the left menu and then Add from Url if the product is on a web page, enter the address and click Add. If the page does not exist, choose Add from scratch, enter the name and description, upload a product image and click Create catalog item.
How to know the profile is right
The profile is done when all fields are filled in, the color swatches match the colors you actually use, and the company description is a text you could paste into your business plan without embarrassment. Every product you plan to market is in the catalog with an image. If any of this is half-finished: stop here and fix it, because in the next step the mistakes multiply.
How to do it: create the campaign material
- Click Campaigns in the left menu. In the prompt box, select Product, point out the product from the catalog and click Generate.
- Read the campaign brief that appears. It describes the angle, message and target group for the material. Change anything that is not right before you continue, then click Confirm. This is where it is cheapest to take control: a wrong angle in the brief gives ten wrong images afterwards.
- Open one of the generated images by clicking on it. The editor lets you swap the image, either by generating a new one or by choosing among the images in your profile, and change the heading, description and call to action.
- Adjust the font and other visual details in the same view. If the text ends up in the wrong place over the image, click Fix layout, which rearranges the placement automatically.
- If you want tighter control over the material, add input to the campaign: select the campaign, describe it in your own words, upload up to three images, add the product's web address and click Add, and confirm with Looks Good.
- Animate an image if you want movement. Hover over the material and select Animate. The function is available for material in the 9:16 format, that is, vertical, the one that suits Instagram and Tiktok.
- Translate the texts into Swedish before you download. Rewrite them in the editor, sentence by sentence. Never translate word for word: English advertising copy often becomes exaggerated in Swedish, and a heading that works there sounds forced here.
- Download the material and put it in a shared folder, with file names that say what the image is and where it will be used, for example
instagram-stort-format-hostkampanj.png. Then the whole company can find the right image when it is time to publish.
How you know it worked
Place three downloaded images next to each other on the screen. They should look like they come from the same company: the same colors, the same fonts, the same tone in the text. The text is in Swedish, it is readable on a phone without anyone zooming, and no heading is cut off at the edge. Every product in the catalog has at least one asset to publish. If you pass that test, you have something that looks professional both on the web and in the feed.
If something goes wrong
- Pomelli cannot get into your website. Pages that block robots, for example with a captcha box that is meant to prove the visitor is human, cannot be analyzed. Build the profile with From scratch instead and upload the business plan and the product images.
- The profile turned out completely wrong, with colors and tone you do not recognize. That comes from thin material: a page with a single image and three sentences does not give a good profile. Fill out the page first, or edit the fields by hand in the left panel. Do not switch accounts and do not start over, it changes nothing.
- The logo or the product color is distorted in the images. Google itself says that the tool sometimes changes small details such as colors, logos and structures. Use the generated images as background and mood, and place the sharp product image on top in a free tool such as Penpot.
- The texts sound like advertising, not like your company. Rewrite them. Remove superlatives, shorten the heading and keep what is concrete: what the product is, what it costs to make, why it is worth the money. Never state a price or a delivery time you cannot keep.
- The material looks good on the computer but gets cropped on the phone. You have used a landscape format in a portrait feed. Generate again in 9:16 for stories and Tiktok, and save the landscape format for Youtube and for screens you show on site.
- You are unsure whether you are allowed to use the images. You may use the material you generate yourselves in your marketing, but never upload images of other people's products, famous people or brands as source material. Google closes accounts after repeated copyright infringement, and a reviewer looks hard at that kind of mistake.
- Someone in the company overwrites a finished image. The editing is saved continuously, so there is no undo button that saves a whole evening. Download every finished image right away and decide that one person in the company is responsible for the folder.
What you do next
The material is still images. The next step is video, and you do that in Get started with Google Flow, which creates short product clips for the same channels. If you need to write longer texts, such as product descriptions or a press release for the local newspaper, Get started with AI Studio takes over. And if everything is to land at a real address instead of a social feed, you start with Domain and email.
