Advice for UF companies

If you run a UF company, you get free advice from us for the whole UF year. You do the work. The advisor shows how the tools work, explains what is tricky and tells you what could be better.

What the advice is

You get your own advisor, the same person all year. That way you do not have to explain the company from the start every time, and the advisor remembers what you arrived at in the last meeting.

You book meetings yourselves in the portal, at the times the advisor has free. They become video meetings in Google Meet. If you would rather meet in person, write that in the note when you book and we will reply whether it works. In between, you write to the advisor in the portal, whenever it suits you.

You can read about who the advisor is on the page Advisors.

How the advisor works

You build the company. The advisor stands beside you.

  • The tools. The advisor shows which tools suit your idea and goes through how they are installed and set up. You install them yourselves, and if you get stuck the advisor explains what went wrong and how to move on.
  • The web shop. If you are going to sell online, the advisor shows how WordPress and WooCommerce work, how payment and shipping are set up and what tends to go wrong in the first week. You build the shop.
  • The business plan and submissions. You write the business plan, the budget and the pitch. Submit them in the portal, and the advisor reads them, asks questions and tells you what is missing. Then you make changes and submit a new version.
  • The year's milestones. From registration in the autumn to the wind-up in June: the advisor reminds you what should be done when, so that nothing comes as a surprise.

What the advisor does not do

The advisor does not write your business plan, build your web shop or do your tasks. The work and the decisions are yours.

Nor does the advisor replace your UF teacher. The teacher follows your work during the year and assesses it; the advisor helps with the practical side around it.

We do not decide on legal and tax matters. We explain how the rules usually work for a UF company and where you can read more, but you take those decisions with your teacher, your auditor or the Swedish Tax Agency (Skatteverket).

The portal

Once you have joined the advice service, your company gets its own portal on arcgruppen.se. There you work together and reach your advisor, on your phone or your computer. You do not need to install anything.

This is what you get there:

  • Project: a board with the stages of the year, from idea to wind-up, where you share out the tasks.
  • Threads: questions to the advisor, sorted by area such as purchasing, marketing and finance. Everyone in the company sees the answer.
  • Calendar: your events, the milestones and the meetings with the advisor. That is also where you book meetings.
  • Submissions, files and links: everything you collect, and the advisor's comments on what you submit.
  • Weekly check-in: three lines each per week on how things stand, so that everyone knows how it is going without having to hold a meeting.
  • Your teacher can join if you invite them, and can then read what you share. Anything you want to keep to yourselves you make a ghost thread.

30 days after the UF year ends, we delete the data about you as pupils. How that works is described in the privacy policy.

How the portal works

What it costs

Nothing. The advice and the portal are free for UF companies for the whole UF year. Getting in touch and asking costs nothing either.

The advice is for UF companies. If you run another company, you are welcome to contact us anyway.

Just one question?

You do not need to join the advisory to ask something. With Flash advice you ask one question without an account, and the answer comes by email.

How to get started

Register your company in the form. Tell us what the company is called, which school you go to and what you would like help with. It is enough for one of you to do it. We get in touch and set up your company in the portal. Then each of you gets an email to choose a password.
