Choosing the right business system

Do you even need a business system?
Not everyone does. If you have fewer than ten customers and send a couple of invoices a month, a simple invoicing tool will do. But if you notice these signs, it's time:
- You spend more time on admin than on customers
- You often search for information in spreadsheets or email
- You forget to follow up on quotes
- You have poor oversight of what's in stock
What should you consider?
- Needs now vs later, Start with what you need today. Choose a system that can be expanded.
- Usability, If it's too complicated, nobody will use it.
- Cost, Look at total cost: licenses + implementation + monthly fee.
- Ownership, Do you own the data? Can you move it?
Comparison
Fortnox: good for invoicing, but limited. Visma: large, expensive, good for mid-size. Odoo CE: flexible, free, requires setup.
